Buddy Bartlett is a fictitious name for Frank Luther. These sides were recorded for the Plaza Music Company and issued and reissued on at least seventeen different labels under the also-fictitious names of Frank Evans, Weary Willie, Frank Lewis, Dick Porter, Frank Marvin, Lazy Larry, and Allan Royal. I do not know whether this label was issued by the Compo company, or whether at some point Crown became Compo, as the perimeter text is the same as on Compo records. The record is brown shellac.
