Comments about this label:

7 inch disc record. No metal grommet. The back of the record is blank and includes embossed "PAT APP'D FOR" statement.

The small embossed circled "VTM" mark indicates Victor ownership. After, Victor had purchased the Globe Record Company (that made the Climax records for Columbia)in Jan. 1902, they marked all the Climax record masters with their initials. Columbia would, soon after, buy the company back from Victor and then introduce their own label.

This record shows how chaotic record production was during the 1902 transition period marking the change from the Climax to Columbia label. This is a case where they were still using a Climax master that missed getting its VTM stamp removed to press records.
